Going On A Golf Vacation In The UK

Going on a golf tour in the UK is the dream of many die-hard golfers. With the beautiful landscapes, the astounding scenery, and the stunning history of the areas, what isn’t to love? And it only gets better when you find out the sunlight schedule. During some parts of the year, the sun can stay out from 4 A.M. until 10 P.M. This is ideal for the truly die hard golfers who can spend literally the entire day outside. This lengthy schedule makes it possible for as many as 36 holes in a day, with extra time for sightseeing and enjoying the area.

It would seem that the UK is truly a golfer’s paradise. This would be true, except for the local climate. It is very spastic and unpredictable; in the middle of a warm summer day, a group of happy golfers can suddenly find themselves in the middle of what seems like the next ice age. This can pass within hours, and change into temperatures that make skin boil. If you and your golfing buddies are the type that prefer ideal weather in order to play a few holes, then the UK is probably not the place for you. But if you are a group of die hard golfers who will laugh in the face of weather, then you should book your flights tomorrow.

If you feel that the UK’s weather sounds a little too shifty and unpredictable for a truly happy golf excursion, then you should probably consider an area where the weather is never too unpredictable. These areas include most Floridian golf courses, where you can expect it to be sunny almost every day of the year. While the culture, history, and scenery might not be as intriguing as those of the UK, you are more likely to have better luck with weather conditions.

This does not mean that the UK can’t be a great place to take a golf vacation for those more cautious folks. While the weatherman might not be quite as accurate over there, he still has the basic capabilities. If you just have lots of other tourism and sightseeing planned at the same time, you will be almost sure to snag a few days of good weather during your stay. You should just always be prepared to jump at the chance of having a warm and sunny day that lasts long enough to play a few holes.
